Should I get it? It is about to hit the market in a couple weeks. From what I can see, it looks like it is a fun handheld game. The graphics look awesome and they have some of the old time favorites, i.e. Uncharted and Little Big Planet.

Every review that I have read or watched has given this handheld device an good review.

He goes through a lot of the features of the Vita...

To be honest, I think I am going to get it...LOL...why not, my PSP has had a good life, it's time to move on to bigger and better.

The only bad thing I can think of is problems. We all know, most new technology has a ton of issues in the first models...But to compensate for that, I am thinking about getting it at Walmart...I think they have one of the best and longest repair/replacement warranties around. 3 years should be good enough...

The only downside i think that i have read about this is that for a 4-8 gb memory card it costs like 40-50$. And many people think they should be included but besides that its definitely a great handheld.

Yeah lol. Not worth buying multiple memory cards when the one u bought originally gets filled.

That way you dont risk losing one. And its cheaper in the long haul.

I always buy my memory cards on amazon or e-bay, they have the best prices. Beware of the fake memory cards on e-bay though

Vita memory cards are proprietary.

Just like Xbox 360 HardDrives require special Microsoft Xbox 360 compatible harddrives. The Vita requires special memory sticks.

Every PSVita will be physically tied with it's memory card. Basically the Vita will only let you sign one PSN account to it at a time, and if you want to switch PSN names on it you have to completely reformat the vita and its memory card.

I don't know exactly what that means if your memory card fills up... if you are screwed, or what...

but I wouldn't risk getting anything smaller than a 32.

Could probably copy data to an external.

Yes it does, but Sony is trying to keep people from hacking the Vita so they inconvenience all of the legit purchasers...

An 32gb memory card is $100 bux... I have a damn 32gb Class 10 MicroSHDC card in my phone and I payed 1/3 that price...

What I really like about the Vita is how they went back to flash memory. Even the games are on a cartridge. That means way faster load times, and that pretty much eliminates the bottle necking that plaque the consoles.

The PS3 would run probably 3-5x faster if you put a SSD in it. But you give up storage capacity. I was thinking about putting a SSD in my PS3 but they would have to come down quite a bit...LOL

DOnt even bother buying Hard Drives right now.

I forgot what country it was but during typhoon season they experienced MAJOR flooding and damage to factories. Hard Drive prices are really high right now.

But yeah im definitely goind 256 GB SSD when i build my desktop gaming rig.

Load Windows/Games on there. And buy another 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD in a seperate bay for storage of files etc.

Consoles where its at. I still have a color gameboy if I still need to play a dumb handheld game.

Consoles where its at. I still have a color gameboy if I still need to play a dumb handheld game.

The minute they make a gamepad (controller) that is high enough quality and wireless like the PS3 controller. PC is gaming is better in my opinion.

Customization options are far greater. Server hosting. Better graphics. Mod support. Etc.

However. There's one very very big flaw with PC gaming. Currently the only viable way to play is in a chair with mouse and keyboard in front of a monitor.

Consoles allow players to sit on a couch with a giant LCD/LED TV to play on. (PC can connect to these TVs. But moving your keyboard/mouse in front of it to play on them isnt very practical.

I am personally looking forward to see what these next generation consoles are priced at. If the PS3 costs $500-$600 on release (depending on the model) even though the hardware is dated by todays standards. With new hardware/etc the PS4, XBOX 720 should be around $500-$800 if they decide to push the bar with hardware/processing power. Wii U seems to be going more toward the casual route with the Video Controller etc. It will still have good power. It is currently expected to be more powerful then PS3/360. The new XBOX appears to be appealing/pushing forward with Kinnect. Rumor has it, it will have full Kinnect 2.0 Integration. Sony hasnt released any details/nor has any rumors come out.

If they decide to keep hardware specs around where it is now. Maybe increase system RAM, and VRAM, but decide to not push the boundary in terms of graphics processing. Then these new consoles could be around the $300-$500 price point. Awesome.

However if they decide to push the processing power and get near top of the line hardware specs. Price can easily get up to $600-$800. If this seems to be the case. I may just build a PC. PC's have far more gaming options and variety. Question. Have any of you guys heard about ARMA?

I have to again about the PC is pretty good for game=ng just as long you have the right PC for it. They do have controllers and i believe i saw some that are wireless too. And if you do hook up to your tv and sit on the couch and play with a wireless keyboard and mouse. My only drawn back with pc gaming is that there is alot more cheaters on pc with all the mods people come up with and easyier to do.

Thats where private servers come in.

PC will always typically have more cheaters/hackers mainly because the game code is directly editable/viewable.

Many games now have systems where it checks your game files to see if any editing/tampering has been done.

Also. Private servers with admins etc to ban players fixes this issue. Personally I have never owned a gaming desktop. I own a laptop that plays older generation games on High/Max. but All current gen games are on Medium. With PC hardware prices going down (besides harddrives, damn you stupid typhoon) it has become much more affordable.
