Howdy,

Those of you who have downloaded the 1.05 patch will likely have picked up on most (but not quite all) of the content that will make its way to SOCOM 4 in the form of DLC. Yes, Demolition and four new competitive maps (which includes returning classics Bitter Jungle and Ruins) will be making their way to the game in the near future. There are also new player skins and some new co-op content as well.

Other details about the DLC, including dates, pricing, screenshots or video, etc. will have to wait until we make the full official announcement. That announcement, which will closely be followed by its release, is still a few weeks away. The content is in final testing right now, and while we're still waiting on a release date on our end as well, I can tell you that you should be seeing it sometime in October.

Those are all of the details that I can give you for the time being, but now you know most of what's right around the corner.

I guess Chris Roper didn't get the memo.... SOCOM is dead, and he killed it.

They plan to charge us for more of the same.... good luck with that.

Give it a shot cause it might be better and if this dlc is a turn around then when they make a new one then they will know to go back to the old ways

This all feels similar to Confrontation, except for the fact that Confrontation actually started out like a real SOCOM game.

No thanks. If I want to flush money down the toilet, I can do it at home. At least then... the money is still on my property even if it's in the septic tank.

Confrontation is looking very good by comparision isn't it? Older game, with inferior graphics, and totally kicking the ass of the newest version in sales and activity.

If someone would develop a game like SOCOM 3, I would pay triple the price. Multiple spawns, large maps, and third person shooter that didn't entice people to play the respawn version.

Those were the days.... and I miss them. Days like private tournaments where clans had to tryout to participate. But now we have tournaments that only 3 clans want to play in.

If someone can show how this is a step in the right direction, explain it to me because I simply don't understand.

Thank God they're bringing demo back. That failure of bomb squad NEVER has anyone playing it..........

which is funny because it's the one good mode on S4. But yet everytime I go to play it I'm the only one there, out of 20 needed to start it up :/

I still fail to realize who in their bright mind thought it was a good idea to remove the 2 most recognizable modes in SOCOM from SOCOM 4

demo and extraction/escort (same thing almost)

Well see they dont have Demo and Extraction in COD...so they felt Socom veterans would not appreciate them....LOL...

I don't know how I'll justify spending money on a DLC for that game. Because I have a feeling I buy it and a group plays for like maybe a week and then back to another game.
Also I'll have too many choices by that time or be in deep in BF3.
I only play 1 shooter game at a time. ONE!

Haaaaaa Vet. I saw maybe a .001% increase in players the first night of the patch. So demo's back...whippty doo, they still picked the easiest of the "classics" where they could add a thousand more small objects to the already one thousand bushes on those 2 small maps. Very lazy zip. And they want some money for their hardwork...psssh...confrontation anyone?
