Any1 else planning on getting this? It looks amazing, comes out in October. I will post pics and videos in a bit for those who haven't seen it.

A few interesting details:

-FPS that Takes place on a huge open-world island of Skira. 220 km, and you can go anywhere on the island at any time. In game it would take 9 and a half hours by foot to move from one side to the other and 16 minutes by helicopter.
-24 hour day and night cycles with varying weather conditions
-4 player co-op for the entire campaign and well as competitive mulitplayer and much more

I played this series YEARS ago and that game was fun as shit and ahead of its time IMO on the PC much fun...

4 Player online Co-op...man we should form a team and have us some fun...who's with me...W) W) This game is looking pretty damn fun...LOL Kinda reminds me of playing Socom CA with clanmates...that shit was fun!!!!

Well just got off the fucking phone with gamestop..and my shit wont be in tomorrow....I dont understand this shit...stores such as Walmart and Bestbuy can have this game IN-STOCK ON the day its posted...but GS(Which is supposed to be the best place to get pre-orders) SHIPS the game on that day...MAKES NOT FUCKING SENSE....so I will have to wait till tomorrow to test this game out!!!!

I got pass the 1st mission...this game so far is pretty good..the gfx seem to be lacking a bit...but overall its a VERY challenging game...things that make this game cool...1 YOU CAN GET HEADSHOTTED by the AI...LOL...if you get shot in the leg...your sprint is disabled..its funny as hell....you actually have to compensate for range with shooting at long distances....it takes some getting used to...

Overall..so far...I like it...and I love the challenge...I will update more later

Bandit and I played some Co-op lastnight...it was pretty fun(watching bandit get head shotted)...hahaha....so far...i like it...its fun...and the biggest thing I like about it is, the level of skill it takes to play...they made the AI realistic...they use cover, they will flank the hell out of you...LOL...and the funniest thing is if you shoot at them...they go prone and try and crawl away...

Just bought it! First level I snuck up on a destroyed house on the hill above the last objective! I was reloading my ammo stock and acquired a javelin. I turn the corner on the house and nearly wet myself! There were 4 commie bastards just sitting there by some sandbags. I quickly pulled my grenades out and lobbed a couple over the wall! BYE BYE COMMIES!!! Like you guys said, this game makes you sweat! I'm going to start over now on the hardcore level! W) I'll probably have a heart attack! :wave:

LMAO....@ BB Its funny as hell because its all quiet and u are looking at the map to find your next objective and all of a sudden all hell breaks loose(The AI are some sneaky mofos, you wont know they are there until its damn near too late)...and troops are surrounding you and u gotta try and find a way out without getting shot in a ass and losing your ability to sprint..woof...so is anyone when did u guys want to get this started...LOL...after the war lineup is picked? I might be too sick to come to prewar tonight....LMAO!!!!

Since after Doom on the original playstation I have had trouble with them. I can play them, they make me queasy, not violently ill.....

I'm going to give it a try. I could play CoD for a couple of hours before I started getting a headache. It will all really matter how much the end of the rifle rocks back and forth while moving, I think that's what get's me.

Maybe I'll work my way past it, become immune to the queasiness hopefully.

Anyway's, I just read the owners manual. They obviously got some real military guidance on making this game. Just the use of the proper terminology and calling it "FM-032" like it's a real Fleet Manual.

Now I'm really intrigued. I hope it's as tactically challenging as the manual makes it out to be.

If you can hack the fps Hog, than this game was made for you! A true Military simulation. Good luck. I'm not sure if you have to complete the first level or not, I did and then I played online with yayos, rambo and aric. Good times for sure, until aric drove us off a cliff into the sea. We had to hump it a literal 2.5 kilometres to the extraction helo! Not fun at the time, but it has me coming back for more! W)

I gotta admit, it was fun. Always need a gun with a sight though, learned that last night. Was doing well until I got stuck without a scope.

Yaya was like "wait, let's take the helicopter...."

CRASH!!!! BOOM!!!!!

Bandit: "Hey, where's the truck".

Hog: "I got it, everyone in yet"?

Bandit: "No, we have to wait on YaYa to respawn...."

I was laughing until my internet crashed for a couple of hours.

I didn't think that was funny...LOL..i had the damn "Auto Pilot" on..and for some reason it just turned off when I was in the pause screen...and I could not get that screen out fast enough....I was happy too..because last time I couldn't even get the damn chopper off the ground and I crashed...LOL..so are u guys playing today..

I admit..that game is fun as hell playing with you guys...expecially Hog..

Getting in some stick time on the chopper. A couple of tips.

Keep the power up (right stick pushed forward).

If you get into trouble and start losing control of the chopper, hit the square button for the auto hover until it get's back under control.

The chopper is a slow turning beast. If you overturn, it's slow coming back too. Little turns and watch that altimeter, the ground is closer than it looks.

I got shot down flying around the island, and survived the crash....W)

Landing takes quite a bit of work. One of my guys on the single player jumped out before I got the chopper all the way settled and the blades dipped and chopped him into a big bloody puff of mist.

I couldn't find anything left of him, no uniform, weapon, or body parts....

The only thing that would have made this funnier.... if it was YaYa. :smile:

Sure it's possible, but the odds aren't in your favor. Especially if your engine shuts down about 100 feet up and you free fall that distance. Like I did...:smile:

Both, but the versus mode has AI soldiers in it too.

I prefer the coop. I swear we are laughing the whole time we are playing it. Fly helicopters, drive tucks and AmTraks, shooting rockets, shooting down helicopters. Last time we played, we all jumped in a truck and immediately flipped it on it's side.

Rule # 1: Do not drive for Yaya's. When he wants you to stop it sounds like this....

Stop Hog, stop, stop, stop, stop, Hog, STOP!, STOP!! STOP!!!!

All in the span of about 4 seconds. It doesn't matter if you hit the brakes as soon as he say's the first "stop", and it usually runs on after you have actually stopped.

Rule # 2: Do not allow YaYa's to drive a LAV for you (8 wheeled tank with turret). When you ask him to stop, he does everything but stop until you are all dead.
