Socom 4 pick up time

Just got a call from my Gamestop that I can swing by at 10pm tomorrow night to pick up the game.

"Your SOCOM 4 avail 12:01AM Tue. Arrive 10pm Mon to finalize your payment. Bring your trades to reduce price."

To me that means you're still not getting the game till midnight but they want you to show up early to pay for it so they're not there till 2am with people trying to pay when they pick it up.

Yeah that is basically what they told me. Come in at 10, finishing paying and trade in games so that at 12 they just have to hand them out.

Ya see, that's what I was thinking. But, my gamestop said you could pay at midnight, that's why it's about to be super packed. And that's why I'm going up to pay it in full early tomorrow, after I get my TV. Hopefully, I can avoid the nerd tournament that's going on up there.

You show up at 10 PM to finalize payment.

then you go in at 12 show them receipt and walk out with the game....that way theres on BS going on at registers....

While in there I picked up the cool ass baseball theme controller and snagged us up a possible recruit. Check out guy could not wait to get the game and start a clan. I gave him our website and he said he was gonna check us out. Personal visits thats how I roll!

Yeah on the card with the code. The scratching part looks like tape. Do go peeling it off. Scratch through it. You won't believe how many on the Socom forums picked that off.

I like this game but, I get bored very easy. Isee myself playing for 30-40 mins before I want to quit. That's the only socom feeling I no longer have. Before I could play hours on end. Now I only got a few in me before I want to call quits. I blame the crappy communication system, and lobby system. Until they fix that, I see myself doing a lot of early exits.

I like it I'm just so sick of playing Port Authority and Assault & Battery. The worst thing about the game for me is the late spawning on the rounds after you die. It just alters what you want to do so much. I cant believe a problem like that can even exist. The game ain't perfect but its way better than Confrontation imo.

I have a little bit a different view on the Party System today. If feel like playing with randoms and sometimes I do. Just get on and play no teamwork really or just with randoms. It would suck to play against clans. That's why they have the clan war section. I think with a grouped party especially a clanned up party people are going to be bouncing. They had that same mind set in MAG. Where Sony or Zipper didn't want to allow the parties whether clans or groups to over whelm the randoms. There's a lot more randoms then people that are in clans.

They took out way to many features that have been a constant over the years in my opinion. Not having lobbies has really taken away from the community feel for me. If there was one thing and only one thing I could bring back it would be the lobby system. I do agree with Gunman though, the game has a lot of issues that need to be fixed. It's fun and all, but I'm so sick of the crappy camera zooming in on my head amongst many other things. Also what the hell is up with the new weapons system? Why in the world did they ever think it was a good idea to remove customization of weapons pretty much completely. The guns I've used every single Socom I can't use now because of some lame leveling system. Why can't I put a suppressor on my M4a1 a gun which I've been doing that with since Socom 1?

My thought is why they are alienating the clans? Now you have to go to a completely different area to compete as a clan, and you have to do it against other clans. There is no way to just play games, you have to challenge someone.
The lobby system was great just for this. Yes I enjoy the clan challenge system, but it is the only way to get your whole team against another team of some sort. Though a party system would help, randoms are less likely to stick around and play against you if you are a full team of clan mates.

That is one glaring issue for me. They need to do something that caters more to the clan, rather then the individual. That is what SOCOM is based on, TEAM.

Yup. Zipper even prides itself that this is the number 1 team-based shooter. How are we expected to use teammwork when over half these random people don't have a mic? The clan section is a small part of this game, but it's the only place we can really run tactics and use teammwork like we have done in every single socom up to this point. Maybe we could all stay on the same side in a public room, if it wasn't for the game automatically switching teams up, and then letting 5 people join in less than half a second, filling the room up, and not letting anybody switch back. All of it happens in less than a second in a 10 second lobby. Like I've been saying since the beta, it's harder to play on the same side as your friends, than to get kills in this game.
