Man, I remember Madden 2005. That was the best football game I'd ever played. I haven't touched madden since, I wish others would do the same. I think I'm going to go to the store and rent the latest madden to see what it's like.

Wish there was another company giving it competition though...

What people don't understand, you aren't forced to buy a product (except for health insurance under ObamaCare).

Take Confrontation for example, it was so bad I went back to playing SOCOM 2 a while, but with only 200 people on a night, it got old fast.

Six Days In Fallujah, which I hoped would be a better alternative never got produced and sold. So I CHOSE to continue to play Confrontation until something better came along. Of course, if I didn't belong to this clan, I might have made a different decision.

Madden is completely a individual endeavor. A person doesn't have to worry about letting real life teamates down.

You don't like a product, don't buy it. If enough people do that, you will open the doors for competition. If enough people don't do that, you will continue to be stuck with what you have.

It's why Zipper is coming back to SOCOM. Confrontation is not pulling in 20,000 players a night like SOCOM 2 and 3 did. Zipper see's an opportunity to make some money off a successful game concept. Plus, their 1st person shooter isn't doing that well either.... heh, heh, heh.

Your missing the point, i know you dont need to buy it....

Its basicly saying that...without another game out there theres no reason or need to improve the game...they can literally put out the same game for the next 5 years and not make any changes besides rosters if they wanted to....theres no competition.....id rather there be competition so each year there is improvement in a product....

P.s. Hod

Six Days in Fallujah is still being produced....the developers took a break to develop Breach. or something like that...a Downloadable game on 360 and PC for like 15$....

No 2 minute you are missing the point. That is the beauty of the free market system. If they keep giving the public a lousy game, the public will stop buying. No matter if it is the only licensed product of the NFL.

That is why he brought up the SOCOM analogy. Slant Sux did a lousy job, now zipper is in place to try to recapture the SOCOM diehards. If they fail, then they will lose them forever. Plain and simple.

No Two-Minute you are missing the point. What Hog is implying is a boycott of sorts for the game. As long as individuals continue to support EA and Madden, they will continue to make Madden and hold the exclusive.

If Individuals took a stand and did not buy the game, EA more than likely would not to continue to pay for the exclusive rights and would try to get out of the exclusive contract with the NFL and Players Association. It may even be the NFL and NFLPA trying to get out of the contract.

Bottom line is all 3 make money off of the exclusive deal and if again the customers take a stand and say no more mediocrity, by refusing to buy the game. It may open the door for other developers to make a NFL game.

Makes more sense that way.

LOL

Both Red and Bandit started with the same sentence.

Yes Duece, you have missed my point. Red and Bandit covered it well so I won't go into it too much.

People keep making stuff because other people keep buying it.

Go out and try to buy a brand new Ford Pinto. Popular at one time, but people stopped buying it. You can only buy a used Ford Pinto now. They don't make them anymore, because no one is buying them new.

However, Ford now has a new station wagon if that's what you are looking for. So does Chrysler, Chevy, Nissan, Toyota. But none of them are called "Pinto".

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/02/07/first-madden-nfl-12-features-revealed.aspx

"Madden creative director Ian Cummings (with his head in his hands) has already posted his first blog about Madden NFL 12, and it's not all despair. Cummings has revealed a few of the game's new features.

.......

Anybody looking for improvements to Franchise mode? Don't worry, Cummings is already saying that Madden 12 will address the long-neglected mode. Stay tuned!"

About damned time.....i might buy my first madden game since Madden 2007 or whatever
